What if I test positive

IMPORTANT STATISTICS

From Dec 10th 2021 to Jan 10th 2022. 88 Degrees/Sayulita Covid Testing Center has tested 2480 people with 157 positive cases this is 6.33%.

FACTS TO KNOW!

If you test POSITIVE AND/OR are displaying symptoms it is recommended to self isolate while you have symptoms and for a minimum of 5 days. If you test positive, we also recommend to immediately start using one of our Vitamin/Mineral package to help with your recovery and to help prevent any lingering effects post infection.

For anyone that you have been in direct contact with, it is recommended that they also test with in 3 to 5 days of you displaying symptoms and it is recommended that they also boost their immune system for the next 10 days as they could be carrying the virus and NOT be infected. Also eating healthy, getting lots of sleep and avoiding sugar/alcohol or anything that weakens your immunity is strongly suggested.

What if I test positive and have no symptoms?

Should I retest? It is each person’s choice to retest, however in our experience 100% of all positive clients who have retested have tested positive on the second test, regardless if it was an antigen or PCR.

Should I test again after I have recovered?

NO, it is recommended by the CDC to not test for 3 months after you have tested positive and recovered from covid as you have a high percentage of testing positive again.

What do I do if I have symptoms?

Contact our testing center and we can make a special appt for you to come in and get tested or we can test you onsite at your home/vacation rental. If you have symptoms, we have Recovery kits that contain vitamins/minerals and natural supplements that will help you recover quickly and we can provide a video appointment with Dr. Deigo in case you need pharmaceuticals or stronger treatment.

Why did everyone in my family test negative except me?

We do not know why some people in a group test positive and others negative. If the people you have been in direct contact with are concerned then it is recommended to test. As the incubation time of covid is approximately 3 to 5 days, it is also recommended if you have symptoms that anyone who was in direct contact with you, should retest in 3 to 5 days.

What do I do if I have been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive?

If you have been in close contact with the positive person in the past 3 to 5 days it is recommended that you test. But, as the incubation time of covid is approximately 3 to 5 days, you should retest in 3 to 5 days. Especially if you develop symptoms. If you do not want to test you can also just isolate for 3 to 5 days to make sure you have not symptoms.
